I believe on the product it claims to eliminate musty odors but I notice this claim is not on the website description. If Odor Genie "breaks down and eliminates odors", why does it need to be replaced every 60 days if the odors are gone?

We moved recently into a different home and the basement smelled musty and stinky. Odor Genie totaled cleared up the smell! The next morning when my husband went into the basement he was dumbfounded the the smell was gone!
